The first time we got together for a drink at Uncle Bear’s Brewery was December 2, 2015. Neither of us was anticipating this to be a date – just enough time to chat for a little bit and have one drink before going home. We ended up talking for hours about so many different things, finding out we had so much in common. Jen even surprised Scott by having the server choose her beer for her – “Surprise me” she said when the server asked for her drink order. Fast-forward four years later, Jen came home from work, a bit frazzled from a hectic day, to celebrate our four-year anniversary. In front of the little travel area in our house (with a globe, a map, travel books, and travel photos) Scott told her how much he loved her, how much she meant to him, and asked her to marry him. Jen was completely surprised, and of course she said yes.
