In May 2016, Jen had a 30-day detail to Washington, D.C., for work. Scott came with and ended up staying in the Northeast for much longer than Jen’s detail. We visited a major city each weekend, to check off NPS unit sites for Scott (and so began Jen’s quest to visit all the sites as well), and Scott traveled around the entire Northeast during the week while Jen worked. Scott not only made significant progress on his quest, but he was able to see 100 National Park Units in 100 days – an epic journey.
